Chapter 19. In the hospital

Alexa and I arrived after a short ride at the lake and we were sitting with a cool drink enjoying the view over the water. When suddenly 2 man came walking towards us. Those guy’s looked like gangsters from an old mafia movie.
You might guess who those two gangsters were, Rocky and Rambo, but I didn’t know that yet at that moment.
When they were standing right in front of us, Rocky said, “Hello, may I ask what you two are doing here? This is private property.” Alexa couldn’t believe what she was hearing and said, “What do you mean? I own this lake.” But Rocky said while he was waving with the contract in his hand, “No you don’t, I have bought this lake from Martin Flamingo two days ago.”
Now I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, “I didn’t know Martin owned this lake, Jack must have sold it to him.” When I told Alexa this, she got even more upset, she jumped up and shouted, ” WHAT, how can that be, Jack Goldman signed it over to me yesterday.”
“Then I think he pulled a trick on you” said Rocky, “Because yesterday the lake was already mine.”
Alexa was furious and said, “I will let Jack pay for this, no one pulls a trick like that on me.”
I wanted to help Alexa because Jack had tried to pull a trick on me too, do you remember the mini-microphones. So I told Alexa to calm down and that I would take care of Jack for her.
When I came back home later that day, Angelo told me he had had a phone call from the hospital, that Martin was lying there after having a motorcycle accident. So Angelo and I rushed to the hospital to see Martin.
When we were at the hospital waiting to see Martin, Brigitte came walking by. “Hey honey” I said, “what are you doing here?”
“I went to see the plastic surgeon” Brigitte said, ” I think I look to fat, to old and to ugly.”
I couldn’t agree with her more, so I said to her, “Well at least your eyes are still okay.”
Angelo who was listening to our conversation, thought it was all very funny and started to laugh.
Big mistake, because Brigitte didn’t liked it at all and said, “You think this is funny!” and before Angelo knew it, Brigitte punched him right in the eye.
At that moment the doctor and a nurse came to see us, the nurse took care of Angelo right away and the doctor escorted me and Brigitte to the room where Martin was lying. Martin’s head was covered in bandage and I asked the doctor what was wrong with him. He told me that Martin was in a coma. A few minutes later Angelo came back too, and after seeing Martin we went home again because we couldn’t talk with him now anyhow.
