Chiang Mai is famous for it’s Songkran festival because a lot of people like the atmosphere and the party’s over here during this festival. You will see elephants walking on the streets who will spay water out of their trunks to the people on the streets.
Many Thai people drive around in their pickup trucks with a big bowl of water in the back and people who throw water out of it to everyone they can hit.
You can participate in this yourself by getting a water pistol or just a small bucket which you can fill with water from the canals or at one of the many bars and houses.
The week before this starts we will take you on the most beautiful motor tours through the surroundings of Chiang Mai. After this week you can enjoy the festival in Chiang Mai.

Royal Project Nong Hoi
After the introduction and demonstration of your big motor bike (600 cc or more), the tour will take us first to the Royal Project at Nong Hoi. This is a short rout of about 60 kilometers. We will be passing a number of attractions, such as possible visits to the botanical gardens and elephant camp of Queen Sirikit. The roads right up to the entry to the Royal Project at Nong Hoi the roads are excellent; however from there the 6 kilometer ride to the Project does require some advanced riding skills! This project provides employment for detainees from Chiang Mai. At the end of this tour we will enjoy a fabulous meal at the Flamingo restaurant.
Mae Sa Valley
Today we have a tour of 85 kilometers to the beautiful Mae Sa Valley. We will be traveling on good roads to the town of Samoeng. During this trip we have the possibility to visit a number of attractions such as “The Inner Person of Food and Drink”;. As this route is mountainous it does require some riding experience for you to enjoy it! For the end of this tour we eat in the Flamingo restaurant.
